East West University's Civil Engineering Orientation: A Grand Welcome for Newly Admitted Students of the 23rd Batch
The Department of Civil Engineering at East West University successfully concluded its orientation program for the Fall 2024 semester on October 17, 2024, welcoming a new cohort of 103 undergraduate students. The event was marked by the presence of the special guest, Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, esteemed faculty members, including the department chairperson, Dr. Md. Naimul Haque, officers and staffs of the department. Lecturer Engr. Md. Rizwane Muztaba Khan served as the host, guiding the proceedings with a warm and informative approach.
The Chairperson and Pro-Vice Chancellor addressed the newly admitted students, extending warm greetings and offering valuable insights into the department and university life. Professor Dr. Saiful Islam provided a compelling overview of the civil engineering field, highlighting its prospects and the reasons why students should choose this discipline.
Dr. Shakil Ahmed, appointed as the faculty advisor for the Fall 2024 batch, also welcomed the students and offered his best wishes. The East West University Civil Engineering Club took the opportunity to introduce themselves and extend a warm welcome to the new members, encouraging them to embrace the department's vibrant community.
The overall management of the orientation program was skillfully handled by the Civil Engineering Department along with the East West University Civil Engineering Club, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.
