Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering at East West University, a place where ideas become structures, systems, and services that shape everyday life. Civil engineering is essential to human living, encompassing structures, roads, water‑supply and sewerage systems, environmental protection, and surveying. Our graduates guide projects from concept to reality: planning, design, execution, site supervision, and long‑term operation, often taking on critical engineering and construction management responsibilities.
At EWU, our BAETE accredited four‑year Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program follows Outcome-Based Education (OBE) aligned with UGC standards. This ensures strong theoretical foundations complemented by hands-on learning, fieldwork, and exposure to modern engineering tools. Students gain experience in structural and concrete engineering, geotechnics, transportation, water resources, environmental engineering, construction materials, and surveying all supported by well-equipped laboratories and advanced instruments.
Our faculty are experienced professionals and dedicated mentors who foster creativity, problem-solving, and ethical responsibility. We emphasize practical exposure through field surveys, industry interactions, and seminars, giving students insight into real-world engineering challenges. Beyond academics, EWU promotes vibrant student engagement through competitions, workshops, and collaborative projects that develop leadership, teamwork, and innovation.
By joining our department, you become part of a dynamic academic community dedicated to designing safer, smarter, and more sustainable environments. Whether your ambition is to contribute to national development, pursue advanced studies, or build a career on the global stage, EWU’s Civil Engineering program equips you with the technical expertise, practical skills, and professional confidence to create meaningful, lasting change.
If you are motivated to shape a more resilient and sustainable world—from the fundamentals of the built environment to the complex systems that support modern communities—I warmly invite you to join us at the Department of Civil Engineering, East West University.
