The grand finale of Akij Resource Presents Creaventure 4.0: National Idea Pitching Competition, powered by Shwapno in association with CFMOTO Bangladesh, was held on July 11, 2026, at Holiday Inn Dhaka City Centre. The event celebrated the creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit of young innovators from across Bangladesh.
Organized by the Dhaka University Entrepreneurship Development Club (DUEDC), Creaventure 4.0 brought together distinguished industry leaders, academics, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem stakeholders to recognize the country’s emerging startup talents.
This year’s competition received an overwhelming response, with 1,066 registered participants forming 348 teams from 62 districts across Bangladesh. The competition began with an online idea submission round, followed by a rigorous assessment process through the quarter-final, semi-final, and final stages. From 33 selected teams, 20 teams advanced to the semi-final round, and ultimately the top 8 finalist teams earned their place in the grand finale.
Among the finalists, Startup MatiPlus secured the 1st Runner-up position. Md. Sadik Jamal Kowshik, a student of the Department of Civil Engineering at East West University, represented the team as the CEO of MatiPlus.
MatiPlus is an innovative circular economy initiative focused on turning city sewage sludge into fertilizer. The idea aims to convert urban waste into a valuable agricultural resource, helping reduce environmental pollution while supporting sustainable soil health and agricultural productivity.
Through their innovative solutions, the finalist teams collectively addressed 10 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting their commitment to solving pressing social, environmental, and economic challenges.
The achievement of Team MatiPlus reflects East West University students’ dedication to innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, and demonstrates their ability to contribute meaningful solutions to real-world challenges.
