The Department of Civil Engineering, East West University, organized an Orientation Program for the newly admitted undergraduate students of the 29th Batch on 10 September 2026. The program was chaired by Dr. Md. Naimul Haque, Chairperson and Professor, Department of CivilEngineering.

Md Taki Tajwar, Senior Lecturer, Department of Civil Engineering, served as the anchor of the program and guided the proceedings. Chandra Shekhor Mondal, Senior Lab Officer, was assigned to assist in conducting and coordinating the program. Volunteers from the East West University Civil Engineering Club also played an active role in organizing and managing the event, ensuring smooth coordination throughout the program. The orientation introduced the newcomers to the department’s faculty members, academic curriculum, laboratory facilities, academic regulations, extracurricular activities, and available student support.

The newly admitted students met their academic advisor, Dr. Md. Alhaz Uddin, Associate Professor, who provided important academic guidance and discussed the importance of maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. He also raised awareness about sexual harassment and encouraged students to remain informed about their rights and responsibilities. The program concluded with a group photograph, marking a memorable beginning to the students’ academic journey at East West University.
