MatiPlus Showcased at Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026
MatiPlus, an innovative waste-based organic fertilizer initiative, was featured at the Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026, held from 12 to 14 September 2026. The initiative was selected among the Top 50 Innovators from a pool of 673 ideas submitted nationwide.
MatiPlus was represented by Md. Sadik Jamal Kowshik, CEO of MatiPlus and a student of the Department of Civil Engineering at East West University, along with Dr. Sadik Rahman, Supervisor of MatiPlus and Assistant Professor of the Department of Civil Engineering at East West University. MatiPlus aims to promote urban waste challenges by converting urban sludge and organic waste into value-added organic fertilizer, waste minimization, value creation of waste based product, creating a pathway for resource recovery and sustainable agriculture.
Following the fair, the Top 50 innovators will be brought together through an Innovation Hub, which will support the further development, validation, refinement, and transformation of their innovations into practical product outcomes.
The showcase marks an important milestone for MatiPlus and its vision of turning urban waste into valuable resources for a more sustainable future.
