Team MATIPLUS Wins the HULT Prize; An Exciting Collaboration Between Departments and Universities Addressed SDG Issues

Team MATIPLUS, represented by two students from East West University, secured the Champion position at the Hult Prize Qualifier Round hosted by Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. Md. Sadik Jamal Kowshik, CEO of MATIPLUS from the Civil Engineering Department, and Raisa Jahan Binti, CFO from the Business Administration Department, led the team with dedication and innovation.

The competition was highly competitive, beginning with 100 teams in the first round. From there, 18 teams advanced to the second round, and finally 6 teams competed in the grand finale. Through strong teamwork, impactful presentation, and a sustainable sludge-based fertilizer solution, MATIPLUS emerged as the Champion.

With this achievement, the team will now advance to the national round of the Hult Prize. The global winner of the competition will receive $1 million in seed funding to implement their innovative solution.
