The Department of Civil Engineering at East West University organized a field visit to the Sheltech Windflower project, a large-scale condominium project in Adabor, Mohammadpur, as part of our ongoing effort to correlate theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. The team was warmly received by officials from Sheltech, including Md Abul Basher, Head of the Construction Department, Project Engineer Abdul Mazid, and the broader project team. Focused on the themes of building construction and project management, students observed critical structural components, including the foundation, beam, and column configurations, floor layouts, shear walls, lintels, and reinforcement detailing during the project tour. Later, an interactive session with the engineering team enriched their understanding of various construction challenges, project management activities, safety control, and how modern infrastructure projects support SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
