To welcome the new students for the Fall 2024 semester, the East West University (EWU) Department of Pharmacy hosted an orientation program on September 19, 2024. The event was graced by the presence of the honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, along with Professor Dr. Md. Amirul Islam, Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacy, and Mr. Md. Mahbubul Alam, Assistant General Manager and Head of Quality Operations at General Pharmaceuticals Ltd., who is also an alumnus of EWU. Respected faculty members and students also attended the program.

With a heartfelt welcome and energizing speech, the Pro-Vice Chancellor encouraged the new students to start their academic careers at East West University. Alumnus Mr. Md. Mahbubul Alam shared personal experiences from his time as a student in the Department of Pharmacy and offered valuable insights into the qualities required to succeed as a pharmacy professional in Bangladesh. Faculty members further provided essential information to ensure a smooth transition for the freshers as they begin their academic careers.
