EWU Pharmacy Students Visit Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd.
On April 23, 2025, final-year students from the Department of Pharmacy at East West University visited Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in Zirabo, Savar, as part of their Pharmaceutical Engineering (PHRM414) course. The industry visit aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world pharmaceutical practices.
Accompanied by faculty members and the department Chairperson, the students were warmly welcomed by Incepta's senior executives. The program began with a presentation on the company’s state-of-the-art facilities, international standards, and advanced manufacturing processes, followed by an interactive Q&A session with industry professionals.
During the tour, students explored critical areas including quality control, quality assurance, solid dosage manufacturing, and biotech facilities. They observed high-end pharmaceutical machinery and cleanroom technologies used for precision manufacturing, highlighting processes like granulation, drying, coating, and packaging.
The visit provided students with valuable insights into industrial operations and regulatory compliance. It was a practical extension of their classroom learning, enhancing their understanding of modern pharmaceutical engineering. Students will now submit projects based on their observations, marking a meaningful step towards their professional journey in the pharmaceutical sector.
