The Department of Pharmacy, East West University, hosted a seminar on “Global Drug Regulatory Affairs” on 26 August 2025 at the university campus.

The session started with welcoming remarks from Dr. Shamsun Nahar Khan, Professor, Department of Pharmacy, who warmly introduced our distinguished speaker, Ms. Susmita Laila, General Manager, Global Regulatory Compliance, Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

In her thought-provoking lecture, Ms. Laila traced the historical evolution of global drug regulations and emphasized the transformative role of regulatory affairs professionals. She also highlighted key regulatory guidelines of pharmaceutical sector, underscoring their vital role in ensuring the highest standards of drug quality, efficacy, and safety. Her inspiring and enlightening session broadened the academic and professional outlook of our students.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Md. Amirul Islam, Chairperson of the Department of Pharmacy, who expressed deep appreciation for the speaker’s contributions and reaffirmed the Department’s commitment to nurturing future leaders in the pharmaceutical sector.
