A cordial program was arranged by Department of Pharmacy, East West University, on August 26, 2025 to welcome back two distinguished Associate Professors of the department, Dr. Nazia Hoque and Dr. Rejina Afrin, who have successfully completed their postdoctoral research from USA.

On this occasion, the Pro Vice Chancellor of EWU, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, greeted them with flowers in the presence of the Chairperson of Department of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Md. Amirul Islam and fellow colleagues. Both returning scholars shared their experiences and insights, making the event truly inspiring for everyone present.

During postdoctoral fellowship Dr. Nazia Haque has worked at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Mercer University, Atlanta, Georgia, and Dr. Rejina Afrin was associated with the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Marshall University School of Pharmacy, Huntington, West Virginia. Their dedication and academic accomplishments bring pride to the department.
