The Thesis Defense Presentation for Civil Engineering students took place on June 27, 2024, at the S.M. Nowsher Ali Lecture Gallery. The event was chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Md. Naimul Haque, head of the Civil Engineering Department, who was supported by other esteemed faculty members. The session invited Eng. Md. Anisur Rahman, an Additional Chief Engineer of ICZ and Climate Change Management from Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) as external examiner. Students from various cohorts were invited to attend and observe the defense. A total of 36 students were organized into 09 groups, each presenting their research or capstone projects, completed with necessary analyses and conclusions. The groups represented diverse fields, including structural, environmental, transportation, and water resources engineering. The faculty members engaged attentively with the presentations, providing insightful questions and comments regarding the students' work. The session concluded with heartfelt wishes for the newly graduated students, accompanied by encouraging words.
