The Department of Civil Engineering, East West University organized a field visit for the Civil Engineering students on 20^thMarch 2022 to the Bridge construction site at N-Block, Bashundhara Residential Area near Madani Avenue, Dhaka. This was a 40m long three spans Deck Girder bridge that will connect the Bashundhara area with the Madani Avenue 100 ft road. 26 students, one faculty member and a lab officer participated in the field visit. The project in-charge, Engr. Faruk, explained the construction process and various practical aspects of bridge construction to the students. The experience gained from this field visit will be tremendously helpful for the students in understanding the theoretical knowledge of Bridge Design. The authority of East West Property Development Limited was thanked for allowing the students to visit the construction of RC bridge. At the end of the field visit, the Chairperson and Associate Professor of Civil Engineering Department, Dr. Haque presented a crest to the Executive Director of East West Property Development Ltd., Engr. Lynn as a token of appreciation.
