The Department of Civil Engineering, East West University, organized a field visit for Fall 2025 students to the Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (MRT Line-6) at Kamlapur. The team was warmly received by officials from DMTCL, including the Additional Project Director and engineering staff. The visit began with a safety briefing, site protocols, and PPE inspection. Students learned about project scope, stakeholders, construction phases, budgeting, and management practices. They also observed station finishing works, plastering specifications, scaffolding systems, and slope-protection measures for a firefighting water reservoir. An interactive session with the Project Manager and engineers enriched their understanding of career pathways and professional responsibilities. Special appreciation is extended to Associate Prof. Dr. Mohammad Alhaz Uddin and Engr. Khondaker Azizul Hakim for their guidance in organizing the visit.
