Department of Civil Engineering, East West University organized a webinar on, “Timber as a Structural material” on 19th August, 2021 (Thursday) at 7.30 pm using online video conferencing software Google Meet. The keynote speech was delivered by the Engr. Mr. Hafizul Alim (P.E. and M.ASCE), Owner and Lead Engineer, Alim Engineers, USA. The Chairperson and Associate Professor of the Department, Dr. Md. Naimul Haque was the session chair and conducted the session. At the beginning Dr. Haque welcomed everyone and introduced the speaker. Engr. Alim shared his professional experiences as a design engineer in USA regarding use, application, prospects and challenges of using timber as a structural material. The departmental faculty members, officers and a huge number of students actively participated in the question answer session. At the end of the session, Dr. Haque thanked everyone for their support and participation.
