A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited and Department of Pharmacy, East West University has been signed on 20 February, 2023 through a joyous ceremony held at EWU premises. Mr. Rabbur Reza, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and Dr. Muhammad Ziaulhaq Mamun, Pro-Vice Chancellor of EWU represented their respective organizations as signatories.
Mr. Subodh Chandra Das, Executive Director, Research & Development Department, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Mr. Mohammad Ashfaque Uddin, General Manager, Nuvista Pharma Ltd., respected Deans, Treasurer, Chief of HR & L, Chairpersons and many faculty members of EWU made their gracious presence at the signing ceremony.
Dr. Sufia Islam, Chairperson, Department of Pharmacy, EWU thanked Beximco Pharmaceuticals for their support and also emphasized the importance of this agreement regarding research & development of pharmaceuticals. Dr. Farhana Rizwan, Associate Professor & Project Coordinator of this collaboration briefly highlighted their research and future planning. Mr. Rabbur Reza mentioned that this partnership will pave the way to strengthen Industry-Academia relationship by satisfying the combined research interests of these two organizations and also serve as a platform for betterment of healthcare system. He also answered queries from our beloved students regarding research & development of pharmaceutical sector. Honourable Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Mamun appreciated the effort of all involved with this collaboration.
This MoU will certainly broader the scope for pharmaceutical research to a new era of intellectual as well as technological advancement.
