EWU Pharmacy Hosts Distinguished Lecture on Drug-Resistant Hypertension
The Department of Pharmacy, East West University, organized a Distinguished Lecture Series seminar on 12 May 2026 on “Targeting Vascular and Immune ET-1 Signaling for the Treatment of Drug-Resistant Hypertension” at the university campus.
The program commenced with a warm welcome note by Professor Dr. Md. Amirul Islam, Chairperson, Department of Pharmacy, East West University.
As the distinguished speaker, the department was privileged to have Dr. Raquibul Hasan, Associate Professor, Mercer University College of Pharmacy, USA. In his presentation, Dr. Hasan shared valuable insights into vascular physiology, cardiovascular research, and emerging therapeutic strategies for the treatment of drug-resistant hypertension. The seminar was followed by an engaging question-and-answer session.
The concluding remarks were delivered by Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashiq Mosaddik, Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor of East West University.
