The Department of Civil Engineering at East West organized a seminar on construction process of the Padma bridge For Engineering Students on 2 August 2022 at the S.M. Nousher gallery full in capacity. Engr. Dewan Md. Abdul Kader, Executive Engineer, Roads and Highways Department, Bangladesh Government was the key speaker of the seminar. Engineer Mr. Dewan gave a fascinating presentation on how different components of the bridge construction were executed with modern equipments and technology. The EWU students were presented with the details of pile foundation design and its installation by the huge hammer brought from Germany, pier in the substructure, steel truss construction and its installation by the crane, girder construction in the superstructure, etc. The seminar was ended by thanking the resource person Engineer Mr. Dewan, all the faculty members and the students for their active participation.
