The Department of Civil Engineering, EWU organized a webinar on 19 December 2021 through online video conferencing software Google Meet on “Traffic Congestion: Sustainable Solution through Transport Modelling”. The session speech was delivered by Mr. Niloy Saha, PhD, Transportation Design Engineer, Bolton &Menk Inc., USA. The session was conducted by Senior Lecturer Fuad Yasin Huda, MCIHT. Dr. Niloy shared his experience of traffic modelling and its extent of use in finding sustainable solution to fight traffic congestion. He presented a case study on junction redesigning using simulation software Synchro and PTV Vissim. Faculty members, departmental officers and a huge number of students actively participated in the question and answer session. Finally, Mr. Fuad thanked everyone for their active participation in the webinar.
