Dr. Shamsun Nahar khan, Associate Professor, have been selected by the Association of Academies and Societies of Sciences in Asia (AASSA) for the “Profiles of Women Scientists in Asia”.

The aim of this publication is to showcase one outstanding established woman scientist and one outstanding early career woman scientist from each of the AASSA member countries. (AASSA) ensured that these women scientists are from a wide range of science backgrounds and be seen as role models for the next generation of young women and girls with a passion for STEM in their respective countries.

Dr. Shamsun Nahar Khan, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacy attended the TWAS 14th General Conference and 28th General Meeting and presented her concepts in the filed of “RNA Biology” among her peer in the field of molecular biology for further scientific collaborative strength development.  The meeting held in Trieste, Italy at the ICTP (International Center for Theoretical Physics) which has been established by Nobel Laureate Proferssor Abdus Salam. Dr. khan also had in person meeting with Prof. Bai Chunli, President of The World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries (TWAS). Prof. Bai is President of the Chinese Academy of
Sciences (CAS), and Chairman of the Presidium of the Academic Divisions of CAS.  He is also, the Honorary President of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and the Honorary President of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).
