On the crisp morning of November 23rd, 2024, the EWU premises buzzed with excitement as the much-anticipated Winter Sports Carnival 2024 kicked off. The event brought together students from both the Mathematics, and Data Science and Analytics undergraduate programs, as well as faculty members and staff from the MPS department, all eager to showcase their skills and camaraderie.

The carnival featured a variety of sports, including badminton, table tennis, chess, ludu and carom, providing something for everyone to enjoy. The badminton courts saw intense matches, with players displaying agility and precision. Over at the chess tables, strategic minds clashed in quiet concentration, while the table tennis matches were a blur of fast-paced action. The carom boards, too, were surrounded by enthusiastic participants, each aiming for that perfect shot.

As the day progressed, the spirit of friendly competition and mutual respect was palpable. Laughter and cheers echoed across the grounds, creating an atmosphere of unity and joy. The highlight of the day, however, was the cultural event that took place at the end of the carnival. Participants and guests gathered to enjoy a vibrant showcase of talent, featuring music and performances.
