Field Visit to NLDC and Rampura Grid Substation
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) organized an insightful field visit to the National Load Dispatch Centre (NLDC) and the Rampura 230/132 kV Grid Substation on 21st August 2025 for the students enrolled in EEE 441 and EEE 447 courses.
The visit was led by Mr. Sidrat Muntaha Nur Pranto, Lecturer, Department of EEE, EWU. The primary objective of this field trip was to provide students with practical exposure to the national power system operations and grid management, complementing the theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe real-time power system operations, learn about load dispatch mechanisms, and understand the challenges and strategies involved in maintaining grid stability and reliability.
The Department sincerely acknowledges the cooperation and support of Power Grid Bangladesh PLC in facilitating this valuable learning experience.
As a highlight of the visit, some students and faculty members had the privilege of meeting the Managing Director of Power Grid Bangladesh PLC, which made the experience even more enriching and memorable.
