EEE Alumnus Dr. Banna Joins Intel, USA
Dr. G. M. Hasan Ul Banna, an alumnus of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department of East West University, has joined Intel Corporation as an LTD Module Development Engineer at their Oregon, USA, facility—the company’s largest in the world. In this role, Dr. Banna will focus on logic transistor development, with a primary emphasis on enhancing the properties of dielectric thin film layers.
Dr. Banna earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Michigan State University, Michigan, USA. His dissertation, titled "Carbon-Based Microelectrode Development for Environmental Monitoring Systems," involved the development of diamond-based microelectrode sensors. These advanced sensors were designed for diverse applications, ranging from neurochemical sensing to environmental heavy metal contamination sensing. His groundbreaking research was supported by the National Institute of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF) of the USA.
