About ACS & Sha-Pa Day of Civil Engineering Department
On December 29, 2024, East West University Civil Engineering Club hosted the inaugural
"Shapa Day," a vibrant celebration of Bangladeshi cultural heritage. Male students adorned
traditional panjabis, while female students graced the event in elegant sarees. The courtyard
came alive with a magnificent star of colors, meticulously assembled to showcase unity and
creativity, marking a first for the university. The day seamlessly transitioned into the Alumni Converse Series, featuring alumnus Md.
Naymul Alam, an Environmental Engineer at ENRAC and a 2023 graduate. He shared
profound industrial insights, discussed challenges in recent projects, and inspired students
with his academic and professional journey. An engaging Q&A session followed, with
enthusiastic participation. Though unforeseen circumstances postponed the cultural program, & quot; Shapa Day & quot; was a
triumph, fostering camaraderie and networking within the Civil Engineering Department. The
event reflected the club's dedication to cultural appreciation and knowledge-sharing.
