Md. Rizwane Muztaba Khan joined the Department of Civil Engineering of East West University (EWU) as a Lecturer on 1st October 2023. Before assuming his role as a Lecturer at EWU, Mr. Khan contributed to the department as an Adjunct Faculty member from February 2023 to September 2023. His prior experience within the department underscores his familiarity with its academic environment and objectives. Mr. Khan completed his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh in 2014. After that he joined the Design & Supervision Consultant of Dhaka Metro Rail Line-6 Project to work as a Civil Engineer. On August 2016, he went to South Korea to pursue his master’s under Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP) where he dedicated his first year to mastering the Korean language and then successfully completed his master's degree in two years. He joined the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea in September 2017 for his master’s which continued till August 2019. Upon returning to Bangladesh after completing his master's, Mr. Khan continued his career trajectory by joining the Dhaka Metro Rail Line-1 Consultant. He played a significant role in the project from November 2020 to September 2023, demonstrating his commitment to the field and contributing to the development of critical infrastructure.
On the work front, Mr. Khan has expertise in Geotechnical Data Analysis, Utility Relocation Plan preparation, Planning & Scheduling, Project Management, Documentation, QA/QC related work. His research interests include Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Land Use, Statistical Analysis and Social Demographic Analysis. His master’s thesis focuses on people’s perception towards different levels of Autonomous Vehicle. Mr. Khan's extensive professional and academic background, complemented by his diverse skill set and research interests, positions him to make substantial contributions to the Department of Civil Engineering at East West University, fully realizing his potential.
