Mr. Fuad joined East West University (EWU) in Summer 2018 with an excellent academic and professional background. He completed his masters in Transport Planning from the Institute for Transport Studies (ITS) of the University of Leeds, United Kingdom and B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Bangladesh. His masters research was focused on the potential use of in-vehicle travel time by fully autonomous vehicles. His current research interest includes Transport Planning and Society, Traffic safety, Travel behavior, Transport and Pollution, Safety and Hazard Management, etc. His research work has been published in various peer-reviewed journals and conferences both at national and international levels.
At EWU, Mr. Fuad teaches various theoretical and sessional courses for undergraduate students. He is a member of the curriculum development and technical committee of the Civil Engineering department. He also acts as an advisor to undergraduate students. Before EWU, he also taught at the Department of Civil Engineering of MIST. He has expertise in various civil engineering consultancy projects both at the national and international levels. His national projects include: Introducing traffic calming devices and pedestrianization of Jahurul Islam Avenue, Vertical extension of various residential and commercial buildings i.e. SAARC Agricultural Building at Khamar Bari, Dhaka, Structural feasibility of buildings at various EPZ, etc. In his international projects, he worked as a Transport Consultant in the United Kingdom where he worked in various transport projects for travel planning, network modeling, highway design, transport assessment, traffic management plans for Oxfordshire County Council, Greater London Authority, Bordon Town Centre, Heathrow Expansion project, etc.
