Achievements Details

The Department of Civil Engineering at East West University (EWU) showcased outstanding skill, teamwork, and determination in the EWU Football Fiesta 2025, one of the university’s most prestigious sporting events. The tournament was held on August 10–11, 2025, at the Nutmeg Field, with the participation of 13 departments, celebrating the enduring spirit and unity that define the glory of EWU.

The Civil Engineering Football Team advanced to the grand final after a thrilling semi-final victory over the BBA Department, impressing spectators with their strong defense, tactical play, and unwavering perseverance. In the final, they faced the CSE Department in a fiercely contested match, ultimately finishing as the runners-up of the tournament.

The team mentor was Dr. Khondoker Al Sabbir Billah, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, whose leadership and encouragement played a key role in the team’s success. Several faculty members from the department also attended the semi-final to support and cheer for their players, reflecting the department’s close-knit community and commitment to student engagement beyond academics.
