The students of Department of Pharmacy, East West University had the opportunity to visit the world-class facilities of Square Pharmaceuticals PLC, the largest pharmaceutical manufacturer of Bangladesh, on January 24, 2026. This visit offered the students a comprehensive understanding of potential career paths and the innovative technologies shaping the future of the pharmaceutical industry.

Our respected faculty members, Dr. Farhana Rizwan, Associate Professor & convener of ECAC, Dr. Nazia Hoque, Associate Professor, Ms. Nishat Nasrin, Assistant Professor, Ms. Nigar Sultana Tithi, Senior Lecturer, and Mr. Md. Zahirul Islam, Lecturer, guided the students throughout the tour along with expert representatives from different departments of Square Pharmaceuticals PLC.

The visit granted beneficial insights about the innovative and efficient processes involved in manufacturing of solid dosage forms from dispensing of API to packaging of finished products, which enriched the students with the practical exposure of theoretical knowledge.

During the tour, the students also explored the sophisticated quality control laboratory where they observed the demonstrations of regulatory procedures which ensures compliance with industry standards and maintenance of product quality.

The students really enjoyed the visit, showed great interaction with its content, and exchanged fruitful scientific discussions with the representatives.
