Ms. Nishat Nasrin joined the Department of Pharmacy, EWU in 2009 and is currently serving as an Assistant Professor. She did her bachelor’s from Department of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka and master’s from Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology of the same university. Ms. Nasrin started her professional career as a Quality Control Officer in Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in 2004 and served there for three years. After that, she started her teaching career in 2007 and has been successfully continuing for over 16 years in academics and research.
Ms. Nasrin has an outstanding research experience in different fields relevant to Pharmacy. Major areas of her research interest are Molecular Microbiology, in silico drug designing and development, public health, etc. She has been involved in 2 research projects funded by EWUCRT. Currently, she is a co-investigator in a EWU, CRT funded research project that focuses on antibiotic sensitivity pattern of respiratory pathogens and exploring the molecular mechanisms of antibiotic resistance in multi-drug resistant pathogens. Ms. Nasrin has published 4 books and more than 20 research articles in national and international journals and almost 15 abstracts in different national and international conferences.
