Dr. Md. Mongur Hossain specializes in the synthesis and characterization of two-dimensional (2D) materials, particularly transition metal dichalcogenides. He earned his Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Technology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, specializing in 2D materials. He conducted over four years of postdoctoral research at leading institutions in China and Germany.

Dr. Hossain has published 21 SCI-indexed articles with 894 citations (Google Scholar, November 2024). His current research interests include 2D materials and nanostructures for energy, environmental, and electronic applications.

Research Interest

1. Synthesis and Characterization of Nanomaterials: My research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, with a particular emphasis on two-dimensional (2D) materials for applications in energy, environmental, and electronic devices.

2. Alignment with East West University Capabilities: At East West University, my research aligns with available resources, aiming to foster collaborations that advance nanomaterials research for practical technological solutions.
