Md. Mahfuzul Haque is an academic and researcher with around 15 years of experience in Physics, Applied Physics, and Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He is an accomplished Lecturer and Researcher specializing in advanced materials for solar cell applications and sustainable energy solutions. Throughout his academic career, he has taught a wide range of Physics and EEE courses and contributed significantly to curriculum development and accreditation processes.
Alongside his teaching career, as the Additional Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT), Md. Mahfuzul Haque has coordinated numerous quality enhancement initiatives, including curriculum improvements, internal audits, and compliance with national quality standards. He earned his PhD in Renewable Energy from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and holds both B.Sc. and M.S. degrees from the Department of Applied Physics, Electronics, and Communication Engineering (now Electrical and Electronic Engineering) at the University of Dhaka.
He has authored several publications in Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus-indexed journals, with additional manuscripts and a book chapter forthcoming. He serves as the Honorary Director of the Institute of Advanced Research and Technology (IART), Bangladesh, and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Physics (IOP), UK. Actively engaged in the academic community, he contributes as a Peer Reviewer for WoS- and Scopus-indexed journals and as an Advisory Panel Member of the IOP Science journal Engineering Research Express.
His expertise spans quality assurance, outcome-based education, and academic peer review, reflecting a strong blend of academic, research, and leadership excellence.
Md. Mahfuzul Haque was invited as an Invited Speaker at the 2025 IEEE International Conference on Quantum Photonics, Artificial Intelligence, and Networking, held from 31 July to 02 August 2025, organized by the IEEE Photonics Society Bangladesh Chapter and hosted by the Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), Saidpur, Nilphamari, Bangladesh, where he delivered a talk titled “Perovskites – The Game Changer in Solar Energy: Progress and Challenges”, highlighting cutting-edge research on perovskite solar cells. In addition to the invited talk, he contributed to the conference as a Technical Program Committee Member, reviewing several submitted manuscripts to ensure academic quality and integrity, and also served as a Session Chair of a technical session during the event, reflecting his active role in the academic and research community.
