Professor Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering (FSE) and Professor of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at East West University, has been appointed as a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Research in Industry 4.0 (CRI4.0), Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia.

The University of Malaya, Malaysia’s top-ranked public research university and Professor Wasif’s former academic institution, currently ranks 58th in the QS World University Rankings, reaffirming its status as one of Asia’s most prestigious universities.

Through this fellowship, Professor Wasif will actively participate in a diverse range of collaborative initiatives. These include co-supervising postgraduate students (MSc/PhD), joint applications for international research funding, developing high-impact publications, and establishing advanced research centers and laboratories. He will also contribute to fostering innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurship programs in collaboration with UM.

This prestigious appointment is expected to further strengthen international academic collaboration, drive impactful cross-border research, and significantly enhance the global visibility and reputation of East West University.
