To Build a Sustainable and Eco-friendly Campus EWU signed an MoU
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of East West University (EWU), and the international organization DAEJAYON of South Korea. DAEJAYON is registered with the Korean Ministry of Environment and a member of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). This MoU was signed between the two parties on Tuesday; 09 July 2024 at the EWU campus Aftabnagar of the capital.
Under the MoU outlines, the Korean organization will help East West University to -
Energy Conservation: DAEJAYON will help EWU explore ways to save energy on campus.
Ecosystem Restoration: They will work together to restore natural ecosystems around the university.
Green Computing: The partnership will promote environmentally friendly computing practices.
Sustainable Campus Initiatives: The goal is to make the EWU campus more eco-friendly and sustainable.
This partnership will last for two years. During this time, DAEJAYON and EWU will work closely to achieve these environmental goals. This MoU marks a significant step towards a more sustainable future for East West University. Professor Dr. M. Ashik Mosaddik Pro Vice-Chancellor, EWU and Jaegyoun Kim, Vice-President of DAEJAYON has been signed the MoU as the representative of their respective organizations. Meanwhile, Dr. Maheen Islam, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the CSE Department at EWU; along with faculty members from the CSE Department and other delegates from DAEJAYON also attended the signing ceremony.
