At the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at East West University, engineering is more than just circuits and systems — it is the power to transform ideas into impact. Since its establishment in January 2005, the department has grown into a hub of curiosity, creativity, and innovation, preparing students to shape the future of technology both in Bangladesh and globally.
The B.Sc in EEE program is accredited by the Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technical Education (BAETE) under the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), a mark of excellence that ensures graduates are professionally recognized and eligible for membership in the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh. This accreditation reflects the high standard of teaching, rigorous curriculum, and practical learning that define the department.
Electrical and electronic engineering influences nearly every aspect of modern life — from renewable energy and smart grids to robotics, telecommunications, and automation. The department’s curriculum blends core principles with hands-on experience, allowing students to engage in project-based learning, laboratory experimentation, and exposure to emerging technologies. This approach develops technical expertise, analytical thinking, and creativity, equipping students to solve complex engineering challenges with confidence.
Faculty members combine academic insight, research experience, and industry knowledge to mentor students in a culture of exploration and ethical responsibility. Beyond the classroom, student-led initiatives such as the EWU Electronics Club, workshops, competitions, and signature events like the Inter University Electronics Fest foster collaboration, leadership, and innovation, enabling students to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts.
Graduates of the EEE program are innovators, problem-solvers, and emerging leaders, making significant contributions in technology, research, and entrepreneurship. Many are advancing smart energy systems, designing automation solutions, and pushing the boundaries of electronics and communication — all demonstrating the skills, vision, and resilience developed here.
The department is committed to fostering innovation, sustainable solutions, and strong partnerships with industry and global institutions. It strives to create a vibrant environment where students and faculty collaborate to address real-world challenges, pioneer emerging technologies, and drive positive societal impact. Whether you are a prospective student or faculty member, researcher, or collaborator, we invite you to join us — we are always looking for individuals who like to explore boldly, think creatively, and contribute meaningfully to the world of electrical and electronic engineering.
