EWU Celebrates Pharma Carnival 2019
The Department of Pharmacy of East West University (EWU) celebrated its weeklong (4-11 April) academic festival “Pharma Carnival 2019”. As a part of the carnival, the department organized a seminar titled “Bangladesh Pharma Industry: Growth, Opportunity and Challenges” held on 11 April 2019 on the closing day of the carnival.
The seminar was attended by Dr. Murad Hassan, MP, State Minister of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest, and Syed Manzur Elahi, Chairperson, Board of Trustees of EWU, as the Special Guest. Mr. Rabbur Reza, Chief Operating Officer, Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. was the Key-note Speaker of the seminar. And the program was chaired by Professor Dr. M.M. Shahidul Hassan, Vice-Chancellor of EWU.
Professor Dr. Chowdhury Faiz Hossain, Chairperson, Department of Pharmacy, EWU, gave an academic summary of his department in the program. Faculty members, officials, and a large number of students of EWU were present on the occasion. After the seminar, a cultural program was staged.
