Dr. Taskeed Jabid is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at East West University, Bangladesh. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Kyung Hee University, Korea. His research interests include computer vision, image processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. His research has made significant contributions to facial image analysis, including the development of the Local Directional Pattern (LDP) descriptor, which has been widely recognized and cited by researchers worldwide. Dr. Jabid has published extensively in leading international journals and conferences and has supervised numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. Alongside his research and teaching, he has held several academic leadership roles, including serving as Chairperson of the CSE Department, where he contributed to curriculum development, outcome-based education (OBE), and accreditation initiatives. He is committed to advancing AI-driven solutions to address real-world challenges in healthcare, agriculture, education, and society.
