Yasin Sazid

I am a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at East West University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Prior to joining academia, I worked as a Software Engineer at Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh Ltd. (SRBD).

I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Software Engineering from the Institute of Information Technology (IIT), University of Dhaka, where I graduated as valedictorian. My research interests include technology law & policy, human-computer interaction, societal computing, and software engineering. I am also a member of the Distributed Systems and Software Engineering (DSSE) research group at IIT, University of Dhaka.

My master's thesis focused on UI dark patterns, exploring their automated detection, prevalence, and user perception. Through my academic and research endeavors, I strive to contribute to the advancement of software engineering practices and the design of ethical, user-centered digital experiences.
