Dr. Md. Tauhid Bin Iqbal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at East West University, Bangladesh. His research interests involve Medical AI, Deep Biometric Analysis, Explainable AI, and Image Processing.
Dr. Iqbal completed his Postdoctoral Research at Kyung Hee University, South Korea, where he led the Deep-Learning Interpretation Group in Prof. Bae’s Machine Learning & Visual Computing Lab. During his Ph.D. at Kyung Hee University, he was part of the Biometrics Research Group in Prof. Chae’s Image Processing Lab, where he worked on addressing various challenges in classical facial analysis research. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, majoring in Software Engineering, from the University of Dhaka.
Dr. Iqbal has published his research works in top-tier venues, including IEEE-TNNLS, IEEE-TAFC, IEEE-TIFS, and IEEE-ACCESS, among others. He is an active member of IEEE and serves as a reviewer for prominent journals and conferences in his field.
