Mafiul Hasan Matin was born to Late Foyzul Haque and Morsheda Bibi in the village of Bhutulia, located in the Naogaon district of Bangladesh. His upbringing in a supportive family environment laid the foundation for his academic excellence and professional achievements.
Mafiul's journey in academia began with notable achievements during his schooling years. In 2006, he secured the Government General Scholarship in class Five from the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, followed by another success in 2009 when he earned the Government General Junior Scholarship in class Eight from the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Rajshahi.
Continuing his academic pursuits, Mafiul excelled in his high school education at Katkhoir High School, achieving a GPA of 5.00 out of 5.00 in his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations in 2012, for which he also secured the DBBL scholarship. He continued his streak of excellence in his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations at Naogaon Government College in 2014, again securing a GPA of 5.00 out of 5.00 and secured the DBBL scholarship.
His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue higher education in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. Mafiul enrolled at Jahangirnagar University (JU), where he completed his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree with a CGPA of 3.83 out of 4.00, securing the first position in his class. He also received the prestigious Government General Scholarship from the Ministry of Education based on his undergraduate outstanding result. Following this, he pursued his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science and Engineering at JU, graduating with a remarkable CGPA of 3.85 out of 4.00 and receiving the National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
Equipped with a strong academic background, Mafiul ventured into the professional realm. He began his career as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Daffodil International University in September 2019, where he served until January 2024. Subsequently, he joined American International University, Bangladesh (AIUB) as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science from January 15, 2024 to January 23, 2024. Now he is working as a full-time lecturer in the department of Computer Science and Engineering at East West University.
Mafiul's professional interests are aligned with his academic background, focusing on areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Mining, Data Science, Digital Image Processing, and Computer Vision. His dedication to both teaching and research underscores his commitment to advancing the field of Computer Science and Engineering.
Through his academic achievements and professional endeavors, Mafiul Hasan Matin continues to make significant contributions to the realm of technology and education in Bangladesh.
