DR. HASAN MAHMOOD AMINUL ISLAM is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE, East West University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He worked as a Specialist in system-on-chip (SoC) Software at Nokia headquarters, Espoo, Finland, where the key responsibility was to develop Layer1-Low (l1low) System-on-Chip (SoC) Software driver development for 5G (2019-2022). He received a Doctor of Science in Technology (CSE) from the School of Science, Aalto University, Finland in 2018. As part of his doctoral studies, he worked on Future Internet Architecture (ICN) in the EU-H2020 POINT project. He received a Master's Degree in Networking and Services, with a major in Distributed Systems and Data Communication, from the University of Helsinki, Finland. As part of his Master's thesis, he worked at the Nomadic Lab, L M Ericsson, Finland, where he closely worked with the IETF community on the data channel protocol options of the RTCWeb. His research interests include Data Communications and Distributed Systems, Internet protocols, IoT protocols, Future Internet Architecture, Information-Centric Networking Architecture, and Delay Tolerant Networking. Presently, he is also focusing on Machine Learning. He completed a Higher Secondary School Certificate in 2002 from Notre Dame College and a Secondary School Certificate in 2000 from Motijheel Ideal School and College in the Dhaka Board.
