Dr. Md. Atiqur Rahman is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at East West University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Aizu, Japan, in 2022.
Dr. Rahman is a skilled programmer and an accomplished researcher with a strong background in programming contests, participating in several online platforms such as LightOJ, UVA Online Judge, URI Online Judge, CodeMarshal, and Codeforces. He has solved numerous complex problems on these platforms and gained substantial industry experience both locally and internationally. During his Ph.D. studies, Dr. Rahman was awarded 576,000 yen for his outstanding research contributions.
His research interests span machine learning, deep learning, and image processing. Dr. Rahman has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in internationally recognized journals and conferences. He has also received several research grants from both domestic and international sources. His academic service includes roles as a co-chair, TPC member, reviewer, session chair, and moderator at various international conferences.
Dr. Rahman’s career reflects a dedication to advancing the fields of computer science and engineering, with a significant focus on both theoretical and applied research in machine learning and deep learning.
