Md. Arman Hossain completed his intermediate (HSC) in 2017 from Govt. Azizul Haque College, Bogura and has earned both the BSc and MSc in Software Engineering from Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka (IIT, DU). During his undergraduate studies, he developed a project funded by the ICT Division of Bangladesh, namely, "Bangla Braille to Text Translator (BBTT)", to reduce the communication gap between visually impaired people and those with normal eyesight (Github). He also gained industry experience as a trainee at Kona Software Ltd for six months. His master's research on Transfer Learning (TL) served as an ICT Research Fellow for the Government of Bangladesh. Regarding the thesis, he has published two papers in national journals and an international conference. Arman began his teaching career as a short course instructor at IIT, DU, where he taught MS Office, web technology, and Python programming to students from diverse backgrounds. In Fall 2024, he joined East West University as a full-time faculty member.

We introduce a transfer learning technique, correlation alignment, in software defect prediction.
Manually selection of optimal hyper parameter in regression (Lass, Ridge, Elastic net) is time consuming as well as error prone. In this work we introduce "divide and conquer" based approach here to select hyper parameter automatically and efficiently.
