Dr. Anup Kumar Paul received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Systems and Network Engineering under the School of Global Information and Telecommunication Studies (GITS) from Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, in September 2013 as a Monbusho scholar. His Ph.D. thesis is on Range-Free Localization in Wireless Sensor Networks under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Takuro Sato (IEEE Fellow). After his Ph.D. degree, he joined KDDI Research Inc. Japan as a research engineer in October 2013. In KDDI Research, he has been actively involved in research and development activities in high-performance transport protocols, network measurement, and traffic management in 4G/LTE mobile networks and published his research work in reputed IEEE flagship conferences and IEEE transactions. Dr. Anup published 53+ research papers (including 4 patents) in International Journals (including IEEE Transaction on Network and Service Management [I.F. 5.93], Computers, Materials & Continua, [I.F 4.89], Peer to Peer Networking and Applications (Springer Nature [I.F 2.793])) and conferences (including IEEE PIMRC, IEEE AINA, IEEE CCECE, etc). He achieved the English Session award at IEICE Conference in JAPAN. Dr. Anup worked as a reviewer of different peer-reviewed journals and conferences including the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Access Journal, IEICE Transactions on Communications, IEEE ICC conference, IEEE Globecomm conference, etc, and also served as a TPC member of different conferences including IEEE Percomm, ICMU 2019, ICMU2020, ACM Mobiquitous, etc. Currently, he is working as an Associate Professor at East-West University, one of the leading private universities in Bangladesh, where he is actively involved in teaching and research activities from January 2017 till now.
