Achievement Details

British Council in partnership with the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh arranged a very prestigious “Teaching Excellence Programme” from 6 December 2022 to 17 March 2023 at Dhaka, Bangladesh. In the workshops, different teaching-learning modules in Higher Education (HE) were discussed. Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Additional Director, IQAC participated in the 11 day-long workshops on the Teaching Excellence Programme. The closing ceremony was held on 17 March 2023 at Sarina Hotel, Dhaka where David Knox, Director of Programmes Bangladesh, British Council, Alison Johns, CEO, Advance HE, and Professor Dr. Biswajit Chandra, Member, UGC of Bangladesh were present. A total of 30 faculty members from 15 public and private universities in Bangladesh actively participated in the workshop. Every participant actively took part in the workshops and shared their teaching-learning methods. The Teaching Excellence Programme explored how teaching and learning in higher education in Bangladesh would be further improved.
