On April 20th, 2024, the Department of Civil Engineering at East West University organized the first field survey of Spring 2024 semester for students enrolled in the "Surveying and Introduction to GIS" course (CE103) in Vadam, Ashulia. The survey was supervised by two faculty members and three lab officers, and 67 students actively participated in practical surveying tasks. The university administration generously covered the entire expenditure associated with this survey.

During the field survey, students were presented with real-world surveying challenges, which provided them with valuable experience and enhanced their understanding of the subject. The hands-on experiences gained from the survey will significantly contribute to the student's proficiency in surveying by clarifying their concepts and problem-solving techniques. The practical exposure gained from this field survey is also expected to refine the students' skills in using surveying equipment and tackling practical issues commonly encountered in professional surveying contexts.
