The Department of Civil Engineering organized its annual picnic at Nijhum Polli Resort, Purbachal on March 9th, 2024. The picnic was planned and executed by the East West University Civil Engineering Club (ECEC) and was attended by a total of 45 people, including faculty members and students of the department. The picnic bus departed at 09:30 am, with breakfast served during the trip. Upon arrival, the resort staff welcomed the guests and provided access to facilities such as restrooms and other outdoor conveniences. The picnic was filled with various fun activities, including indoor and outdoor games, as well as pool access. The entire event was documented by one of our students from Batch 10, Monjurul Kabir's "Momentum Snaps". Students enjoyed a buffet lunch in the afternoon, followed by some fun-filled activities such as pillow passing for boys and girls, and cultural activities where faculty members and students participated. The ECEC Club Officer, Arafat Ibna Wohab, shared his experience of participating in KUET BUILTECH FEST 5.0 and inspired the students for upcoming competitions. The Honorable Chairperson of the department, Dr. Md. Naimul Haque concluded the program with his valuable words and expressed his satisfaction with the arrangement. In the end, some refreshments were provided to the attendees. This picnic was special because it brought faculty and students closer, and the students expressed their desire for more fun events like this in the future.
