The Department of Pharmacy, East West University, organized an orientation program on January 15, 2026 to welcome the newly admitted students of M.Pharm in Clinical Pharmacy and Molecular Pharmacology program.

The program began with a warm welcome speech by Professor Dr. Md. Amirul Islam, Chairperson, Department of Pharmacy, East West University. Senior Professor of the department, Dr. Chowdhury Faiz Hossain discussed briefly about the M.Pharm program and the overall activities of the department.

We were honored by the presence of three alumni of this department, namely, Mr. Md. Monjur Hossan, Deputy Manager, PMD, OSL Pharma Ltd., Mr. Md. Arif Khan, Manager, PMD, Opsonin Pharma Ltd. and Mr. Hossain Md. Mohiuddin, Manager, Business Development, Square Pharmaceuticals PLC, whose inspiring addresses greatly motivated the students about the professional career. They emphasized on upcoming challenges of the Pharma industry market due to LDC graduation and how the upcoming generation can prepare themselves with different interpersonal skill development.

The convener of Extra-curricular Activities Committee of the department, Associate Professor Dr. Farhana Rezwan provided the vote of thanks at the end. The session was gracefully hosted by Ms. Rashmia Nargis Reyda, Lecturer, Department of Pharmacy, East West University.
