On August 28, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Thamina Acter delivered a presentation at the departmental colloquium of Department of MPS. The title of her talk was "Adaptation of Proper Management Practices of Waste Cooking Oil as Potential Feedstock for Biodiesel Production". In her talk, she discussed about biodiesel, chemical and physical properties of biodiesel and used and waste cooking oils, advantage of using biodiesel over fossil fuels, current status of production and uses of biodiesel in Bangladesh.
