East West University celebrated its inaugural Research Day, honoring both students and faculty for their impactful contributions to research. The event featured seminars and discussions on topics such as The Role of Research in Transforming Bangladesh and Academia-Industry Collaboration: Opportunities and Challenges. Each department showcased its research initiatives and accomplishments. The Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences had an impressive showing, with students and faculty securing a total of eight awards. Kazi Mehedi Mohammad, Lecturer of Mathematics in the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, achieved a remarkable milestone by receiving accolades for his excellence in research. His outstanding contributions were recognized across multiple tiers—departmental, faculty, and university level—marking an extraordinary accomplishment at the Lecturer rank.
