GEB organized an interactive seminar on “High throughput Next Generation Sequencing tools and implications for advanced research on molecular microbiology and biotechnology”

The Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, East West University has successfully organized an interactive seminar titled “High throughput Next Generation Sequencing tools and implications for advanced research on molecular microbiology and biotechnology” held on 29th October 2019 at S.M. Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery, East West University. The purpose of this seminar was to create knowledge about high throughput next generation sequencing tools and how these tools can be applied for advanced research on molecular microbiology and biotechnology to meet new and upcoming challenges in biomedicine, agriculture, and environmental science arena.

The keynote speaker of the seminar was Dr AMAM Zonaed Siddiki, Professor, Department of Pathology and Parasitology, Chattogram Veterinary and animal Sciences University. Dr Aparna Islam, Country Manager of South Asia Biosafety Program attended the seminar as the special guest. Dr. Suraia Nusrin, Chairperson of GEB, was the Chief Guest of this program.

The Participation of over 100 people including all the faculty members, and the students made the program a great success.
